Since our last safety and security update in August, we have taken additional steps to increase the security of our school buildings. Please review the document below for more detailed information on these efforts. Please know that the safety and security of our students and staff is our paramount concern.
A Top Performing Title I School in PA
W. W. Evans Elementary has earned the High Achievement Reward for the 2016-17 school year. This recognition is provided to the highest 5% of all Title I schools in PA based on English Language Arts and Math PSSA proficiency, while having met all four Annual Measureable Objectives (Test Participation Rate greater than 95%, Attendance Rate greater than 90%, Closing the Achievement Gap: All Students, and Closing the Achievement Gap: Historically Underperforming Students.)
Our aim continues to be child-focused, not test-focused. Even so, it is nice to know that our child-focused approach results in truly outstanding test achievement. This is quite the honor for our staff, students, and community.
